Daily Duties at T Kartor Usa:
• Contracted by Transport for London to produce wayfinding maps for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. • Modified 3D representations of London’s landmark buildings to make them visually accurate in appearance, location and orientation. • Converted 3-dimensional building models to plan view and adjusted the scale, viewing angle and orientation so they would look the same as to a user walking down the street. • Used Autodesk 3ds Max to make alterations to building models and convert the final models to two-dimensional images. • Added final design elements like windows and rooftop structures with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to make the buildings more accurate and visually pleasing. • Set-up and tested new hardware configurations and recommended software packages for specific tasks. • Traveled to the Sweden corporate office to assist in the Transport For London project- assisted staff with the identification of landmark buildings all the way to the finalized map product. • Documented procedures and trained Sweden’s cartographic staff to manipulate 3D Studio Max models and render 2D images.
