Daily Duties at T Kartor Usa:
• Produce 1:250,000 scale aeronautical charts for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the United States Air Force. • Interpret Charting Data Reports (CDRs) to confirm runway specifications for airfields. • Generate ground contours from Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED) sources. • Manipulate feature data to generate an accurate representation of surrounding landmarks and topographic features. • Maintain adherence to strict military guidelines regarding the collection of cultural features. • Develop Model Builder programs to mass populate fields and query relevant attributes. • Automate tasks during the mapping process in ArcDesktop with Python. • Utilize an Oracle database to back up all commodity data and quickly produce charts. • Assist team members with troubleshooting issues and consult with tech leads. • Research how software might be able to generate various map products for future contracts. • Document workflow procedures pertaining to software functionality and recommend ideas to streamline the production process.
