Daily Duties at Aata International, Inc.:
• Provided environmental management and permitting consulting to large-scale natural resource development projects including mining, ore processing, geological exploration, oil and gas exploration and development, major oil and gas pipeline construction and operations. • Directed environmental and social impact assessments; baseline studies; environmental, health and safety due diligence and compliance audits; and environmental and social management and monitoring plans in various geographic areas and ecosystems. • Developed project strategies and prepared proposals, work plans, and budgets for large-scale subsurface investigations. Worked with clients and regulatory agencies to identify their needs and streamline project work. • Developed new business through environmental conferences, trade shows, direct mail marketing, and personal contacts. • Developed and conducted customized presentations, workshops, and seminars for domestic and international regulatory agencies, banks, environmental managers, and environmental attorneys on various topics in environmental and social management. • Retained by client’s legal counsel to interpret project data and peer-review documents. • Generated expert reports, case-specific databases, and computer models to support client’s counsel. • Consulted environmental attorneys on various domestic and international environmental laws and regulations. • Provided comprehensive assessments of Brownfields and military bases. • Trained environmental scientists, geologists, chemists, wildlife and vegetation specialists, socio-economic consultants, engineers, and others (including inter-office training and domestic and international contractors) in environmental and social impact assessments, environmental, health and safety due diligence audits, site investigations, computer modeling, and environmental database management. • Peer-reviewed wide range of environmental and social studies reports, policies and guidelines, computer models, presentations, and other materials developed for technical and lay audiences. • Prepared reports, work plans, proposals, presentations, guidelines, technical papers and peer reviews, SOPs, QAPPs, HASPs, and instruction manuals.
