Daily Duties at Bank Of America:
Analyze financial data in underwriting large or complex residential loans, ensuring compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards. Examine loan documents for accuracy and completeness with authority to withdraw, decline, or approve exceptions and secure required documents in collaboration with originator and/or production staff. Summarize decision rationale and enter summary into system in contacting customer, banking center associate, or account executive. Provide training and direction to junior staff. Develop and recommend modifications to underwriting and production procedures with ability to respond to individual and investor audits. Handle several mortgage lending types, including conventional, government, DU, and low- to moderate-income loans in achieving government underwriting authority consistent with individual experience.
