United Space Alliance Work Values

Daily Duties at United Space Alliance:

Provided direct astronaut support at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL). Ensured the astronaut’s training space suit was sized correctly to provide the dynamic body motion required under weightless conditions. Worked with the test team to develop hardware and on-orbit procedures that helped the astronauts work through simulation exercises to solve potential problems during actual spacewalks. Participated in real-time EVA support for astronaut’s on-orbit assembling the International Space Station. Provided direct support in altitude training sessions that taught the astronauts how to operate their Extravehicular Mobility Units (EMUs) in a vacuum chamber. Exhibited excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are required to successfully train the astronaut corps in the safe operation of the EMU. Assisted in the delivery of time-critical flight specific hardware, supported NASA telecoms, and represented the EMU to multiple outside sources. Provided facility tours and briefings to rotational managers. Worked closely with the astronauts and international partners to ensure that flight and training EVA objectives were met. Directly supported over 11 successful missions.
