Daily Duties at Mitsubishi International Food Ingredients:
I am the Purchasing Coordinator for 4 Product Managers that manage territories worldwide. I inter act with 46 suppliers in 9 countries. On a day to day basis, I average fielding 250 – 300 emails and process an average of 25 to 30 purchase orders per day. At any given time I average 150-200 open pos import and domestic combined. Also, throughout the day, I work with Customer Service Representatives and Accounting to provide status information, documents and billing of the purchase orders. I manage over 225 materials warehoused in 15 warehouses across the nation and in Canada.(avg $24.7M inventory) On an individual basis, I am responsible for material code set ups and extensions. I am also participating with the compliance team to establish processes for vendor creations and standardize buyer processes. I am currently cross-training several peers on our import processes. Our division of the company has about 50 employees.
