Daily Duties at U S West Communications:

Responsible for establishing U S WEST Communications Vendor Compliance program to ensure all corporate assets met legal requirements in preparation for Y2K. Created and maintained database to manage all assets in the Corporation. Monitored and tracked compliance status from each vendor to ensure all U S WEST assets were Y2K Compliant. Responsible for Midrange Technologies Improvement Program which developed criteria to identify Midrange Computing environments that were using discontinued technology and replacing with state of the art software, hardware and data communications architecture. Responsible for all project management activities associated with the Program including monitoring and tracking activities and budgets using project management tools. Savings generated from this program in excess of two million (plus) in recurring annual expense and thirteen million dollars in Capital Avoidance due to recommended new technology. Responsible for Long Term consolidation and planning for Regional Media Services Centers. Managed successful consolidation from five media services locations to three centers for the region using new technology data communications required to move massive amounts of data between Data Centers and Media Service Centers. Responsible for development of a Corporate Business Case to transfer all Midrange work functions from the Network Department to the Information Technologies Department.
