Daily Duties at Sanitary Cleaners Of R.I., Inc.:

ACCOUNTING - I was hired to do bookkeeping for Sanitary Cleaners. I applied for a full-charge bookkeeper/secretary position while would entail all in house accounting functions - counting daily deposits posting to general ledger, payroll once a week and payroll functions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and handling a/p, a/r questions, run monthly, quarterly, annual p/l and balance sheets, and take messages for the owner. 10 years - Accounting – accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual financial and payroll reports for a combined annual revenues over $2.5 million, signor on six (6) individual corporations, consisting of eight (8) locations with 52 employees. Maintain and prepare financial reporting for two residential properties with ten (10) residential units and two (2) commercial units. Consult and work with outside accountant. Prepare P/L and balance sheets, budget reports, quarterly bonus reports, enter and maintain vendor, customer and personnel records. Responsible for payroll tax reporting, bank reconciliations, prepare, post, and deposit daily sales, A/R, and renter payments. Responsible for A/P, claim disbursements, and and check disbursements. Prepare loan schedule, general ledger maintenance, asset capitalization, depreciation and amortization posting, W-9, employee background checks, assist payroll audits, process insured insurance payments, issue commission check to contractors and employee, post daily reports. posted owner contributions, draws, inter-company loans, product payments, reconcile, inter-office loans. Created shipping procedures, labels, requested delivery vendor pick-ups, choose bill of laiden software and a/r invoicing and paid bills. Prepare year-end financials. My experience in risk management and writing memo’s and business correspondence (I have done for over 20 years) is a part of my daily routine, being the signor on nine (9) checking accounts and responsible for taxes – sales and p/r, business licensing and retrieval of all items when necessary. I am the financial advisor and utilize our tax accountant if there are question I am not able to address. I have a developed a framework for risk management implementation, oversight, best practices and fraud activity, as well as written a 50 page document covering all of the above, associations, government agencies and additional resources that might apply. ********Office Management – Assist President/owner of company in all areas of business – accounting, payroll, office and business management. Provide supply management, customer service and management, employee and Human Resource management of production, assembly, delivery, off-site managers, customer service clerks, sales staff and contracts. Assist owner with various business ventures and operational processes. Responsible for Human Resource activities and customer service calls. Revise and design business brochures for marketing to increase company's visibility & community involvement. Contribute to business growth, employee retention, and two profitable business acquisitions. Weekly sales and income sales reports, weekly poundage reports, variance reports, and inventory spreadsheet. Established office forms, procedures for a/r posting, commission disbursements.Attended networking meetings (during lunch), revised marketing brochure establishing community connection and contributions, prepared and sent corporate marketing mailings, developed and presented pick-up and delivery options with minimal assistance to several business owners, operators and to the Rock Island Arsenal – U.S. Garrison Officer in attended with six to seven key decision makers and Sanitary Cleaner owner.
