Daily Duties at Global Medical, Llc:

My role was to manage the day-to-day operations of a 4200 square foot warehouse consisting of over $750,000 worth of durable medical equipment. The list of equipment includes standard and bariatric wheelchairs, walkers, waking canes, fall mats, standard and bariatric commodes, oxygen concentrators and tanks, homecare standard, bariatric, and low beds, institutional standard and bariatric patient beds, trapezes, sit-to-stands, standard and bariatric air and foam mattresses, as well as alternating pressure pads and pumps. The branch warehouse also consists of rehabiliation equipment as well such SCD's and CPM's. We also house nebulizers, suction units, air compressors, bipaps, cpaps, humidifiers, circuit kits, and full-face masks. I also managed a staff of 5 customer service employees. I had to dispatch at least 10 orders a piece to each of them on a daily basis as they came through from our Maryland corporate office. In addition to dispatching, I was responsible for tending to my own route of delivery, pick up and service calls throughout the day. I made sure these customer service technicians were constantly being trained on all of our products in regards to what they were, how they were used, and the reasoning behind the usage of them to help care for and rehabilitate the patients we serviced. Other duties I have include working with our customer base on a day-to-day basis. In the New Jersey Territory, I had over 25 healthcare facilities that I had to keep in contact with everyday to keep up with customer satisfaction and best-in-class service. My points of contact included, facility administrators, directors of nursing, assistant directors of nursing, unit managers, charge nurses, hospice coordinators, as well as other healthcare professionals. My customer base goes far beyond the healthcare professionals I dealt with. I visit around 6 or 7 family homes a day for hospice whether I'm there to deliver, pick up, or service equipment. Upon delivery, my job is to inservice this equipment and make sure the family and caregivers understand how to use it. Upon picking up the equipment, I want to be as caring and comforting as I can during the family's time of loss. I was also obligated to attend monthly Branch Operation Manager meetings via conference call conducted by the Regional Operations Manager. The meetings were set up basically to discuss the maintaining of our branches and strategy moving forward to continue our best-in-class service with our customers.
