Daily Duties at Abbott Vascular:

Handled design control, satisfying product design deliverables pre- and post-market approval. Served subject matter expert in balloon technology, catheter design and coronary stent delivery system. Performs evaluation for Stent Uniformity of Expansion, Stent Length Change and Per Cent Recoil based on a non- contact test method. Performs data analysis and make recommendations. Responsible for the research, development, design and evaluation of mechanical and electro--mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment. Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality using the DOE per the JMP Software and the Design of Excellence methodology (Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Design for Profitability). Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities. Charged with investigating and evaluating existing technologies. Research various cost-effective, alternative approaches to current processes. Designs prototypes as well as tests and troubleshoots initial device concepts using the existing or new technology. Develops specifications for materials, and works with outside supplier to support development. Develops test equipment and processes to demonstrate product performance characteristics.
