Daily Duties at Icf International (Spherion) Katrina Disaster Fund– :

• Communicate with Applicants to ensure all documentation is completed in order to have applicant receive their grants in efficient timely manner. Provided pre-settlement advisory services and reviews of HUD (Housing Urban Development) funded mortgage grants for Hurricane Katrina and Rita victims. These efforts were in support of "The Road Home Program" contracted to ICF International. The reviews consisted of insurance and FEMA claim amount verification. The audits have been proven to be key element in preventing claim fraud and inaccurate disbursements to Road Home grants recipients. Concurrently managed an average of 120 Road Home settlement cases daily. • Verify eligibility for Louisiana Road Home Program government aid. Review Power of Attorney Bill Of Sale / Cash Sale/ Judgment of Possession / Assignment of Right & Donation/ Abstract Title / Title Policy and compare with Appraisal to make sure if any additional correction needed in order to Complete the case. • Confirm occupancy of applicant applying for government aid. • Determine pre-storm value of house / condo / townhouse. • Verify Home / Flood Insurance to make no duplicate of benefit had given to the applicant. • Estimate cost of storm damage and verify applicant’s income. • Ensure no duplication of benefits from home & flood insurance and government aid. • Final Closing Document the grant review and request for all necessary missing documentation. • Building Issue using in house database program, identify problem area and how issue should be resolved. • Act as Quality Control reviewer, to verify grant reviewer had completed the tasks, correct any necessary error before send to second level of Quality Control Dept to pass the file to LA State auditor.
