Daily Duties at Medtronic Inc. :

Responsible for the education and sales on Neurological implants to Neurosurgeons. Also responsible for market development and creating referral networks to drive business from medical specialties to surgeons. Direct interaction with patients during procedures (patients are awake for DBS surgery), providing feedback and programming education to surgeon. Sold Deep Brain Stimulators for Parkinson's Disease and Intrathecal Pumps for patients with debilitating spasticity as a result of Multiple Sclerosis, brain/spinal cord injury or cerebral palsy. Responsible for teaching implant placement as well as programming stimulator and pump medication delivery intra and post operatively.
