Train and lead 2 postdoctoral fellows and 2 technicians in a variety of techniques that are routinely used for our projects, help with bioinformatic analysis of large data sets, designing experiments, data interpretation, and troubleshooting tactics; includes cloning genes of interest into expression vectors to express novel proteins via manipulation of DNA fragments, parameter design, PCR setup, and cloning of PCR fragments into expression vectors; expressing novel proteins in serous ovarian cancer and 293 cells; generating stable cell lines with overexpression and knockdown of novel proteins, in vitro and in vivo characterization of phenotype using ovarian cancer cell lines and nude mice; writing new protocols, scientific manuscripts for publishing in scientific journals, and research funding proposals.
