45th Sustainment Brigade Work Values

Daily Duties at 45th Sustainment Brigade:

Responsible for overseeing and monitoring the medical readiness of over 1,565 Soldiers within the brigade to ensure Soldiers were medically deployable. Accountable for the maintenance, upkeep and security of all medical equipment, computers, medications and vehicles, estimated value of $2.5 million. Planned all medical operations within the brigade while at Schofield Barracks and in Kandahar Afghanistan. Operations included: medical support for live fire ranges and field training exercises, day to day operations and staff management of the battalion aid station which provided routine medical care for an average of 40 patients per day, coordinated medical support for combat logistic convoys within the southern and central supply routes of Afghanistan, supervised the pre-mission preparation, inspected all equipment and issued all controlled substances for pain management to each medic going on a combat mission. Served as point of contact for all brigade staff needing information or support from the Surgeon’s office and provided primary oversight for all initiatives and projects requested by the command team. Met with the Brigade Surgeon weekly to discuss all upcoming missions, tasks, training and projects for the next 6 weeks and submitted status reports for all (currently working) projects.
