Trained and supervised a senior technologist to work along with me to expedite the process Responsibilities: Trained and supervised a senior technologist to work along with me to expedite the process This was the early stage of DNA microarray discovery. My role as a senior scientist in the company was to develop a DNA based microarray using Yeast Artificial Chromosome (YAC) and degenerate oligonucleotide primed PCR (DOP-PCR) to be used as a gene discovery tool for breast, prostate and colon cancer samples. I developed the array and used cancer cell lines to optimize the array performance. At that point the company folded and everyone left for other jobs.
