I was hired to provide paralegal services to five attorneys in the Rutherford, NJ Fireman's Fund Staff Counsel office, which consisted of five attorneys, three secretaries, and one paralegal: I reorganized the antiquated filing system; conferred with the managing attorney on a daily basis for approximately one year in order to perfect my research skills for complicated coverage opinions; prepared document productions, and attended many document productions to cull relevant papers for the firm; I interfaced with New York Court personnel regarding filing requirements for New York pleadings (the filing requirements of each county in New York State are not uniform); when the client began requesting detailed status reports, I created a database in conformance with their requirements, and initiated more direct contact with the client to respond to an increasing number of inquiries precipitated by downsizing of the staff and budget cuts; as my knowledge of coverage opinions grew; I began drafting them for attorney review;
