Daily Duties at Jp Morgan Chase:
Underwrote Prime, Alt-A and Government products; reviewed all residential mortgage loan application files and accompanied documentations to assure that the loans met with agency, portfolio and investor underwriting guidelines. Review and exception for the new MHA (Making Home Affordable). Reviewed loan exceptions, loan scenarios and serves as a final approver for approved/declined/counter offered loans for all loans underwritten exceeding Underwriter’s signing Authority. Signing authority of up to $2.0 Million. Identifies areas of deficiencies and provides feedback to lower level underwriters; Re-evaluate and underwrite complex, high risk & high profile loan applications. Re-evaluation and analysis of possible loans for the Secondary Market sale to ensure loans meet the Secondary Market requirements. Was responsible for writing and updating FNMA guidelines within the Loss Mitigation Department. Was responsible for team of 35 employees. Managing Sr. & Jr. Underwriters and Processors. Duties include Monthly Scorecards, Quarterly/Mid-Year & Yearly reviews. Researched and interpreted controlling documents as issues arise with loan fundings, collateral, reporting and remitting to investors. Responsible for all audits ensuring all lines of business are in compliance with corporate, investor and all government agency guidelines. Ensured daily prioritization of work and training for the operations and production staff.
