Daily Duties at General Dynamics:
As the Senior most Technician assigned to the Information Systems Support office, my assigned duties were to assist all the other technicians resolve issues related to the support and maintenance of all the Computer systems that were assigned to the Intelligence Doctorate (J2) for the US Central Command Headquarters Tampa, FL. My biggest responsibility was to maintain and support the High End systems and servers that supported the Data Center that had assets installed worth over $800 Million. Fully versed on the operation and maintenance of SUN, Dell, HP/Compaq servers and workstations. Responsible for assisting over 2500 customers with all issues related to the use of the software and hardware related to the intelligence mission at US CENTCOM. Mentored junior technicians on the best practices to troubleshoot both software and hardware problems and return the customer to full operation in the minimum time possible. Additional responsibility’s included determining the extend to the backup/sparing equipment that was needed to support both the main headquarters in Tampa and deployed locations throughout the Middle East.
