Daily Duties at National Bank Of Tennessee:

As a SVP and bank officer, it is my responsibility to portray a positive and professional community image and ultimately maximize bank earnings for the shareholders. NBT is currently under an OCC consent order so the bank hired me to provide the experience and expertise to increase profitability. This is currently being accomplished through several avenues with the most important being new loan production. I have a very sizeable customer base and it is my responsibility to increase loan volume and find ways to lower expenses. That exact dollar amount is somewhat limited due to the banks current financial position, but I have budgeted $20mm in new loans in the next 12 months. Thus far I have been able to surpass this projection. I have also been highly involved in the banks strategic planning for this upcoming year which unfortanelty included a consoidation of branch locations. These are difficult decissions, but must be made for the good of the organization. I was also hired to assist in loan officer training due to some of thier inexperience. I currently help manage the entire bank's loan portfolio which is approx. $65mm. Work with loan review officer in identifying concentrations of credit by performing risk analysis spreadsheets for all segments of the portfolio with heavy emphasis on the current commercial clients. Work with and manage the collection and special asset managers with credit collection efforts and existing workouts of classified credits. Responsible for tacking loan officer's quarterly substandard credit analysis reporting. I also monitor current market conditions so I can effectivley communicate possible policy changes to the board of directors. Finally, develop and deepen relationships with the banks current and new customers.
