Daily Duties at Navy And Marine Spectrum Center (Odyssey Systems Consulting Grp:

As a consultant, I provided stable computing system environment to support the NMSC command and improved turnaround time for work stoppages. Implemented processes that resolved longstanding problems such as inadequate computers availability due to frequent crashes, and out of warranty units not being replaced and general lack of maintenance. I identified and repaired without any cost most of the out of warranty systems and created standby computers to be used in the event of any crashes. Introduced the use of uninterrupted power supply (UPS) to steam the constant power fluctuations. These changes minimized operational disruptions and helped with disaster recovery which I introduced as part of backup management, reporting and recovery process. Spearheaded the project management team for system migration from an autonomous SIPR/NIPR network to NMCI networks. Maintained the legacy SIPR and NIPR systems in a parallel mode with the new NMCI networks for an extended length of time as a form of recovery in case of failures with the new network. I Perform hardware evaluations and made recommendations based on evaluations. As a system administrator, managed user account through Active Directory (Unlock account, Password Reset, Update Information) and Resolved Network related Issues (Internet Connectivity, Printers, and Resource).
