Daily Duties at U.S Army Research Laboratory (Stg Inc):

I performed hardware and software installations, testing hardware computers and provided high-level customer care and technical support. I Set up and troubleshot on various printers, scanners, and other peripherals. I repaired Dell notebooks and desktops and HP printers not covered by warranty. Assembled and installed wide array of computer systems, workstations, and peripheral hardware. Replaced defective parts and reconfigured equipment units when necessary. Maintained records of defective equipment and the related peripherals, and also replaced or repaired units. Coordinated with service providers/ vendors such as Dell, HP, and others for warranty issues and dispatched parts replacements where service agreements existed between ALC and the vendor. Dispatched vendors for parts/or replace defective component parts and followed up with the vendor to ensure that the problem was corrected properly. I did preventative maintenance and upgrades- As upgrades become available or necessary for the components within a system on regular basis I do repairs that may be necessary due to failed hardware within a system. I performed patches after installing an operating system. Provided training to computer hardware technicians. Prepared specifications for purchase of computer hardware.
