Daily Duties at General Dynamics Electric Boat:
Responsible for writing technical documents addressing work to be performed during multiple maintenance periods for various Virginia and Los Angeles Class submarines. These covered a wide variety of mechanical systems including, but not limited to, Ship’s Service Hydraulics, Ballast Tank Vent Valves, and Steam System Seal Regulators. My duties also included coordinating the review and revision of the Ship’s Selected Record Drawings, attending planning meetings when the Technical Lead was unavailable, and handling deck-plate responses for mechanical issues that arose during performance of the Ship’s maintenance. I was also Electric Boat’s Engineering Representative during the Sea Trials following the USS Providence’s maintenance period, responsible for troubleshooting all problems that arose during the 4 day trial.
