Daily Duties at General Dynamics Electric Boat:
Responsible for assigning and scheduling the work of 17 Weight Estimators on VIRGINIA Class New Construction and PSA efforts. This includes issuance of the current class Quarterly Weight Reports, weight statements on all contract changes, and any weight statements for miscellaneous engineering products that regard the VIRGINIA Class. Also responsible for creating, from scratch, and maintaining the Naval Architecture Master Task Database (Access Program) as well as working on various assignments as required by Management. I have a working relationship with the SUPSHIP representative for weights and have also spent time supervising the CMC and ORP projects prior to taking over the VIRGINIA Class.
