Daily Duties at African Health Action Corporation (Aha):

As the Executive Director, my leadership role includes managing day to day operation of the organization with the goal of improving program efficiency, increase revenues, and reduced man-hours. Increase revenue involved grant seeking and grant writing, implementing the program according to the approved budget. Program efficiency is mostly related to the quality of data collected, data analysis during the evaluation phase and timely report submission. My leadership role also includes the collaboration with internal and external partners. With the more than 3,000 clients AHA serves every year, I not only strengthen the existing relationship of trust we have built with various high risk communities, clients, and social services but I work on enlarging the scope of our referral services by developing new relationships and partnerships with various clinics in the Twin Cities area and suburbs where our clients can access medical and other health care services. In addition, I participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, maintain personal networks, and participate in professional meetings and conference. I also have to initiate and give effect to policies and procedures as requested by funders or the board of Director with the main goal of increase accountability in AHA services delivery.
