Daily Duties at Thornberry Consultants Llc:

For one contract year I spent time providing IT support within a team of consultants who were tasked to develop a way forward for the Department of Special Needs (OSN) regarding their program designed to support military families. The program, Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), was available through each of the military branches. OSN request the consulting team to develop a process that would result in the program being uniform throughout the services, managed through one DOD branch, streamlined and accessible to the client throughout the world. I supported the team with the analysis of the present system, the analysis of the suggestion system and an analysis of available alternatives. Information which was received from my work was presented to OSN to decide the way forward. Sadly the option year was jeopardized due to sequestration and the government shutdown and I was unable to remain. This task required work with Visio, PowerPoint and other Microsoft suite programs to be able to properly present the data to the government customer. The team was co-located and much of the work was done telecommuting with face to face meetings throughout the week.
