Daily Duties at Navfac Expeditionary Logistics Center:
Provided life cycle logistics, product support management and analysis for over three thousand pieces of Sealift surface craft and related ground support equipment globally located and valued at over $300M. Coordinated planning, budgeting, and development of product support packages for both new equipment acquisitions and legacy fielded systems, communicating requirements to the Product Support Team. Represented the military customer in reviewing, validating, and verifying contract data and integrated logistics product deliverables. Analyzed requirement’s documents, system specifications, and program documentation to develop and review system logistics documentation such as Acquisition Logistics Support Plans, User’s Logistic Support Summaries, Supply Support Management Plans, Maintenance Plans, and Planning Yard Management Plans. Assisted Deputy Program Manager for Logistics in developing effective product support strategies in coordination with government and contractor personnel. Led development and technical review of support products that included technical data, supply support, maintenance planning, and training. Developed and managed annual Sealift Integrated Product Support program budgetary requirements. Extracted and analyzed program data to generate logistics product development cycle time metrics, used to validate and improve processes. Assisted in analysis of maintenance and logistics data to improve system reliability, maintainability, and availability to minimize life cycle costs while maximizing fleet readiness. Reviewed Sealift surface craft modernization packages to provide time and cost estimates for required logistics product alterations and communicate requirements to the Product Support Team. Coordinated the contracting, development, installation, and certification of logistics alterations resulting from engineering changes.
