Daily Duties at Novartis Consumer Health Inc.:
Several positions of increased responsibility (most recent indicated above). Directed 25 hourly employees across three shifts with a departmental budget of $12 million. Responsibilities included hiring/firing, planning, assigning, and directing of work, performance appraisals, rewards and discipline, and goal setting. Actively engaged in all aspects of an improvement effort decreasing throughput from 72 days to 8 days over a period of 14 months. This included three large-scale product launches that increased volume in manufacturing by approximately twenty-five percent without increased head count. Experience in manufacturing and packaging of solid, liquid, and semi-solid dosage forms for human and animal prescription/OTC medications.
