Daily Duties at Wellpoint/Amerigroup:

Served as one of four consultants to local health plan affiliates with a Medicaid contract in their state of operation. Provided analytical and consultative support to the finance lead and or/medical director of the four assigned state plans. Prepared both routine and ad-hoc reports of costs of care using the corporate data warehouse to identify cost of care savings, support the development of defensible pricing strategies or to evaluate the impact of current or proposed cost savings initiatives. Provided information and referrals to corporate subject matter experts of enterprise wide cost savings initiatives and arranged for consultative meetings as needed. Attended all periodic meetings of corporate and local health plan executive officers to review cost of care initiative status.
