As CAD Coordinator I was responsible for working with project manager/engineer to determine scope of work, project scheduling, estimated man hours and costs for project CAD deliverables for as a structural subcontractor for large projects with a total budget up to $150 million. This included work in the field. Responsible for scheduling 5 other CAD designers each week to meet numerous project deadlines, Responsible for checking all drawings prior to engineers check and before final issue. Performed steel and concrete design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD. Mentored entry level engineers on the process of how to put together a set a clear, clean and concise set of construction drawings, Responsible for hiring new CAD designers as our company grew and thrived. Instructed and trained new designers in company policy to ensure overall consistency between project drawings.
