Daily Duties at Magellan Health Services:
I was responsible for all of the IT organization except applications. This included voice and data communications, data centers, cyber security, servers, workstations and support for Magellan's 22+ contact centers across the country. I was responsible for development of both the tactical and strategic IT vision, vendor negotiations and all software and hardware purchases. One of my requirements on accepting this position was full control of all software and hardware purchases as I knew the quickest path to system improvement was standardization of the technology environment. I was also responsible for the Year 2000 remediation work and nothing had been done to address that deadline.
