Daily Duties at Baylor Institute For Immonology Research:
Cell Therapy specialist with biosafety level 3 laboratory experience Responsible for protocol and SOP preparation/Clean room operator Utilized cell separation techniques involving adherence monocytes, cell elutriation Gambro BCT Elutra cell separation system, or by ficoll Hypaque. Involved in the first IND submisission using the Elutra system. Employed diverse methodology for Dentritic Cell isolation and expansion: bags, flask, or plate using various cytokine combinations including IL4, IL15, IFN alpha, TNF gamma in the presence of GM-CSF. Adapted NUNC cell factory system in single use manufacturing process for growth of tumor cell lines. Engaged different techniques for potency assay (7AAD/CD11c). Performed characterization assay: phenotype by flow cytometry (AnnexinV/PI, BrDU) and Giemsa. Executed quality control assays: vaccine sterility and stability, absence of mycoplasma by PCR and Hoescht staining and Limulus Amebocyte Lysate gel clot endotoxin test methods. Prepared experimental results for BIIR management on vaccine efficacy and progression. Trained new employees and students in clinical research process (cGMP) and other procedures/protocols.
