Daily Duties at Cook Composites And Polymers:

Day to day performance testing of competitor products for gloss, hardness, durability, slip resistance, and freeze/thaw tolerance. Create reports based on the results found on these competitor products vs CCP products for customers satisfaction. Supported other polymer development department for wood coatings. Learned power spray application of wood clear coatings, and formulation development. Develop elite formulations for polymers based on the polymers idea characteristic and function due to industry demand. Released those formulations openly to our customers and so they can formulate the product themselves. Development of concentrate formula for those customers that wish to just dilute to desired solids and apply. Maintain sustainability on existing polymers by improving the formulation for increase performance or based on the end customers needs. Field testing of developed formulation to record the true characteristics, gloss, hardness, wear and tare, durability, longevity, and weekly maintenance was needed. Create "Master" for scale up at production facility and supervise batches for accurate, production time, and performance testing. Train distributors sales staff knowledge on CCP products on characteristics of polymers, type of polymer needed for the environment, how to apply from large and small area, equipment needed for application and maintenance all necessary to maximize sales, travel with sales to assist in promotion of product by providing detailed information during presentation, show and tell application, and formulation tips for better performance.
