Daily Duties at Merrill Lynch & Co.:
Documented Equity Derivative transactions to facilitate the execution of trades and minimize the company risk. Managed the drafting, maintenance and execution of confirmations and ensured that they were issued in a timely manner to meet internal and industry benchmarks which included a monthly clearance rate of 70% and higher per month. Also, had to attend monthly MLU classroom lectures on Equity Derivative products to maintain and enhance my knowledge of Derivative products. I would also train new hires and consultants on our day to day functions and procedures, which included the drafting of confirmations, making the new hire and consultants familiar with the appropriate language that was needed and approved by our Legal Counsel to include in each confirmation. Created and distributed the daily workflow to my team, which included trades that were done and executed by our Front Office. From here, I would split up the trades and make sure that each team member was using the appropriate templates for documenting the transactions. After each team member completed their workflow, I would send all confirmations to our team manager for approval and signing so we could meet the FED target of 70% clearance per month.
