Daily Duties at Kaiser Permanete:

I ensured that our members always received a very high level of service, in this position I supervised the daily front end operations for Smoky Hill Medical Office, Franklin Medical Office, and Skyline Medical Office. I trained, coached, and mentored staff by focusing on our company's goals and objectives. I also assisted in the further development of the companies Revenue Cycle Initiatives by ensuring that I had expert knowledge of the billing cycle which included understanding the disease process, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding procedures, CPT coding procedures, and educating our members on the life cycle of how bills are generated from beginning to end for our members. I encouraged and fostered an environment of self-empowerment with my employees. I also managed a budget of payroll and non-payroll items and ensured our employees where providing a caring and compassionate atmosphere for our members. I also acted as a liaison between Exempla Hospitals, Patient Business Services Back Office. I identified problem areas, analyzed needs, and implemented successful solutions. I also served on the boards for Sarbanes Oxley, RCI, and the Lead Patient Registration upgrade committee. I provided input on processes, changes, and upgrades based on cost/benefit analysis, and data from cash flow collections from patient flow.
