Daily Duties at Black & Veatch Corporation:
Design control component installation requirements for a continuous emissions monitoring system for an existing combined cycle gas turbine plant. I was the lead control engineer and worked with and supervised a control technician. I designed sample ducts for installation across a gas turbine heat recovery unit exhaust duct with assistance from a mechanical engineer. The design provided details for flue gas emission sample pipe ducts including flange connections and pipe details for an existing exhaust duct. I provided mounting location and supports design details for a new flue gas monitor based on the monitoring equipment manufacturer's recommendations. I designed power wiring to the monitor and signal wiring from the monitor to a remote control room through existing and new conduits for the owners installation. The required drawings were provided by a control technician based on my sketches and verbal instructions. I checked the technicians drawings.
