Daily Duties at Schering Plough Research Institute:
Biotechnology support to identify correct binding areas of therapeutic proteins (monoclonal antibodies) to disease targets. Development of protein engineering methodologies to enable structural biology analysis of these protein-protein interactions. Specifically, protein expression and purification techniques were developed to support this analysis. Cross-functional teamwork was required to understand program needs across sites (Kenilworth, NJ and Palo Alto, CA). This required hands on technical development, inter-disciplinary team leadership and the development of novel protein chemistry techniques.
