Daily Duties at Department Of Defense (Navy):
My role delivers assurance services to enable authority to operate as required by FISMA. While I work with the details of security and assurance, providing process (how to) and execution (results), my primary mission is to refine project results to an executive level as evidence of continued proper operation. Please see Table 1 for years of experience by skill area.
What they like about Department Of Defense (Navy):
You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.

Agile Framework http://scaledagileframework.com/ |
While this site does not specific address the nature of Assurance requirements, it is the best open source agile framework I have come across. Its application is limited for small organizations or projects, but shines in larger ones. |
Agile Project Management Tool http://www.redmine.org/ |
One the harder aspects of Agile is tracking all the moving parts. This open source tool enables management of multiple projects across an enterprise. |
