Daily Duties at Lockheed Martin:
As Systems Engineer/supervisor/trainer had broad ranging responsibilities in a hardware environment that included multiple OS Operating Systems as well as network configuration, programming, troubleshooting, project supervision and training. Interface with Remote Tracking Station staff and AFSCN architects to ensure network integrity. Create and validate operational procedures to support requirements. Develop test plans to check out new and modified equipment and resources. Test software and hardware of new systems to identify deficiencies, co-ordinate fixes with contractor and customer representatives. Conduct planning, execution and evaluation of satellite command and control functions for both high- and loworbit satellites. Provide failure analysis on the performance of orbiting satellites via telemetry data. Direct command and control of on-orbit satellites and execute and evaluate real-time commanding. Schedule, de-conflict, plan and coordinate time-critical supports for optimum use of AFSCN resources. Provide timely and effective response to ground-based anomalies. Formulate and implement effective workarounds as time and resources permit.
