Daily Duties at Be Aerospace/Thales Ife Group:
• Corporate Program Manager, personnel, engineering, project, budget, full P&L accountability for the management of over 30 programs valued from $250K to $35M each gross annual value $35MM/yr. • Senior management responsibility for leading the design and manufacturing of all client based projects • Engineering team comprised of 5 direct reports, (5 project engineers), up to 200 indirect reports (cross-matrix projects): 50% travel required for this position. • Created and implemented lean engineering policies and procedures, retrained engineering team members to work in a cohesive, productive and efficient manner in a high paced environment. • Facilitated cultural change within the engineering and across all company departments by team building, empowerment, and engagement, active participation, encouraging strong effective communication, planning, and promoting inter-departmental cooperation. • Provided dedicated technical and program leadership to numerous design/build and “manufacture to print projects” for commercial aerospace, customers such as British Airways, Quantas, KLM, Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Air Mauritius, Canadair, Laker Airlines.
