Daily Duties at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas:
Coordinate with other production areas/groups for kaizen activity to reduce total logistics costs, coordinate startup activities for assembly area and track KPIs, KPI tracking for logistics and engineering changes, develop business plans and strategies, review of design information, meet with designers for clarifications and concerns, review impact with production, quality engineering, and quality control. Issue specification changes, issue requisitions and purchase orders, and create business case analysis. I supported a production area of 250 team members, 8 group leaders, 2 assistant managers and 1 manager. I attend daily production status meetings to provide updates. I held weekly production meetings with my team to discuss project updates, production concerns and process improvements. I attend production area meetings weekly and monthly to discuss status updates. Design specialized automated conveyors, contracted and procured the vendors to manufacture the conveyor systems and managed the implementation of the systems installation throughout the assembly and conveyance areas. Managed the Set part supply (SPS) system, which was first of its its kind of North America 75 team members with automated vehicles (AGVs) to deliver unit shopping carts per vehicle versus flowrack conventional delivery (reduced floor space, quality issues and increased productivity). Acted as liaison between production areas and onsite vendor to ensure quality concerns are being addressed, and engineering changes were being communicated and being enacted upon. Has managed, planned and stocked raw material inventory for assembly and logistic production areas. Has acquired, managed and optimized the logistic automated guided equipment and conveyors, materials and services for the assembly and conveyance areas. Has ensured that the supply chain equipment and operations does comply with the quality and profitability requirements and safety aspects. Has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Has over five years experience in Supply Chain Management. Is proficient in Microsoft Suite and has some exposure to SAP. Has worked very closely with stakeholders to ensure objectives of project were being met.
