Daily Duties at Fibro Chem:

Responsible for all plant operations, construction additions, project planning, project design, financials, profit and loss statements, budgeting, purchasing, safety, training, and reporting. Supervises four managers and twenty employees, coordinates inter department operations, responds to customer issues and complaints. I am the first level responder on all operational issues from spills to accidents to injuries. In the short time I was there I significantly improved the accounting and organization of the operation by optimising the processes, employing lean and six sigma methodology. I have developed the toll business (Sales) to the point that it will replace the drop in tonnage from the textile industry. The ownership decided to close the plant.
