Daily Duties at Mc Gladrey:
MANAGE SALT TAX GROUP in DC METRO AREA – Manage sales and use tax staff in the DC metro area. Oversee compliance and planning of Sales/Use & Excise Tax Returns for clients in different industries. – On a monthly basis, perform the import process in vertex and review filing of sales and use, and excise tax returns. Perform tax reconciliation.. Manage Special Projects for clients- Research state and local sales tax laws and create taxability matrix for clients. Assist clients in providing resale exemption certificates. Register clients for any new taxes or sales tax in a new tax jurisdiction. Work on other projects like performing a nexus study, perform voluntary disclosures, private letter ruling for clients. Audit Handling- Work on sales tax audits for clients in different industries.
