Daily Duties at (Activated/U.S. Army) South West Border Mission/U.S. Mexico Border:
Used analytical methods and techniques employed by ICE, Border Patrol and U.S. Customs in conducting analysis on foreign drug trafficking organizations and their vulnerabilities, illicit drug transshipment methods and routes, and illicit drug production and processing facilities. I have done analysis of illicit drug related corruption of high level governmental and military Mexican officials as well as those organizations and officials that can be relied on to resist drug trafficker influences. Analyzed International drug trafficking linkages with international terrorism and organized crime. Worked 2 years specializing in counter narcotics intelligence. Critically analyzed the quality control cocaine shipments and seizures in DHS national database. Worked jointly with ICE, Border Patrol, and U.S. Customs in Intel-ops fusion cell on counter threat finance analysis on money laundering activities from the Mexican Cartels. Supported DHS on Intel analysis for their financial investigations on Mexican organized crime syndicates. Produced all-source Intelligence analysis on Mexico’s Drug Cartel aspects of narcotics production, drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and human trafficking. Provided and advised the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in matters concerning illegal border crossing activities. Prepared all-source Intelligence products by exploiting drug trafficking of intelligence gathered about the Mexican Drug Cartels. Determined the significance and reliability of incoming Intelligence information from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reports. Produced numerous all-source analysis products on drug seizures and apprehensions. Briefed the San Diego Wild Fires and how it affects the border in 2007 to high-level officials of the Dept. of Homeland Security. Produced all-source Intelligence products concerning the crime patterns and trends of Mexican organize crime.
