Daily Duties at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station:
Typical responsibilities include performing armed, tactical, and other duties essential to protecting and defending the Nuclear reactors and their Vital Area (VA) components against radiological sabotage. Performed security of PA entry searches of all personnel and hand-carried items, all vehicles and cargo, and packages and material to detect firearms, explosives, and incendiary devices (prohibited items). Conduct armed stationary, foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). At all times armed with an AR15 and a Glock-22 40 Cal. while performing my duties. Tactically trained, proficient, and qualified with all weapon systems in place to utilize in various capacities, which include inner perimeter security, building entry and suspect apprehension, and marksmanship techniques. Provided protection and safety for innocent civilians while reducing the possibility of injuries or death at high-risk incidents.
