Daily Duties at Well Analysis Corporation:

Plan, design and refine electrical/ electronic circuit board hardware for new tooling and associated software needed to run the tool hardware, and satisfy design parameters set by company. Prepare wiring diagrams and schematics on projects using Orcad design software to document the hardware being designed, as well as simplify assembly and troubleshooting efforts. Prepare purchase requests for hardware/ parts I specify for use in projects, and monitor delivery. Design pc boards using Eagle software and send Gerber Files for these boards to the board company for production. Provide strong technical leadership to my electronic technicians and other company departments involved to support new product design, testing, and revisions. Assist in planning for long range continuity and compatibility of electronic hardware to simplify designs and maximize use with all other hardware involved. Prepare software/ firmware for use in the control sequences of various projects. Simulate, test, optimize and verify designs through all phases of product development. Interview prospective hires for junior tech positions. Train and mentor hires as needed to service electronic hardware, and assist with new product development. Install firmware on our AVR processors using ISP, I2C methodology. Write and present FRD's (functional requirements document) and DRD's (design requirements document) to solidify and communicate the functional design to Sales at company meetings. Work with the head of the IT department to solve software issues or add revisions to any software and satisfy the varying requirements of certain company accounts. Take an electronic design from concept status to hardware implementation. Maintain awareness of current and new developments in electronic technology to stay on the leading edge of design.
