Daily Duties at Well Analysis Corp.:

I would plan our projects, and oversee the assembly of tool pc boards by the electronics project engineers involved and complete these projects using the parts I designated for the high temperature applications. I would prepare wiring diagrams and schematics to document the design and simplify assembly and troubleshooting using Orcad (Pspice) software. I would generate tool maintenance schedules using microsoft office, and make them available to the service technicians I worked with. I would make design changes and specify hardware and firmware used as well as refinements on electrical/ electronic hardware needed to satisfy design parameters of tooling, and to promote reliability so tools could meet the needs of an expanding market. I would oversee the service and upkeep provided by my junior technicians, to the equipment racks inside the company trucks making sure the correct diagnosis was made, and repair was done correctly. I would meet with the field engineers to examine their tools and assist them when they experienced electronic problems. I prepared purchase requests for equipment/ parts, and monitored delivery. I held daily meetings with the company CEO to review designs and department progress as well as answering questions concerning new ideas for tools that the CEO would present. I would write and present functional requirements documents and design requirements documents to solidify and communicate the functional design of a project to Sales and Manufacturing at company meetings. I would travel to remote sights to evaluate situations, repair tools and pc boards including fly to international locations to accomplish the tasks outlined by upper management and assist customers with issues when needed, generate reports for customers concerning tool performance in a particular situation (mainly temperature variations affecting performance). Oversee the simulations, testing, to make sure tool hardware is optimized for field use. Lead regular presentations for the logging engineers to discuss basic tool operation and service fundamentals, as well as answer their questions. Manage and supervise my staff(4 electronic technicians) to ensure workloads were completed. Coordinate with other departments to ensure the success of tool hardware and software in the field.
