Daily Duties at O'sullivan Communications:

Hands on Director, accountable for Management of IT Infrastructure environment. Direct departmental IT staff in their efforts to meet the support requirements of the organization as well as providing guidance, education and the job challenges necessary to ensure their personal career growth and development. Project manager for programming team in the strategy and system analysis of company application development, including setting and managing timelines for project modules, monitoring costs of project development, as well as ensuring on time and on budget implementation. Develop IT direction and strategies incorporating new technologies to meet company needs and to drive business forward. Manage system planning, direction, and implementation of internal developed applications by working closely with business unit leaders and programming team. Responsible for planning, development and presentation and management of annual IT budget. Monitor network efficiency; troubleshoot and work with support technicians to alleviate network latency and performance issues. Responsible for overseeing network administration consisting of 25 Novell, 30 MS Windows NT 4.0 servers in three locations serving 360 users combining PC and Apple Macintosh clients. Responsible for management of company’s Lucent 7000 Series Merlin/Legend Phone System, as well as Amanda Voice Mail System. Installed and configured Novell Netware 4.x and MS Windows NT 4.0 servers as well as Apple Macintosh and PC client workstations. Configure Cisco routers for WAN and dedicated T1 Internet connectivity. Managed 6 direct reports, including Network Engineers and Application Developers.
