Daily Duties at Pse&G:
• Pulled electrical cables through underground pipes (or conduits) and join cables in transmission and distribution systems • Performed maintenance and repair work for high voltage electric power controlling equipment • Tested and located cable faults, and maintain and repair cables • Assisted in manufacturing and preparing cable jointing components, dug trenches and service pits or tunnels, encased cables in protective covers • Installed and maintained electrical distribution switchgear and equipment, such as high voltage circuit breakers, substation switchgear, substations, cables and relays • Operated 4 kv-26 kv distribution, 138 kv -220 kv transmission voltage
