Daily Duties at Charlotte Heart & Vascular Institute:

To manage the operation of a high volume Nuclear Stress Laboratory. I maintained efficient patient flow to achieve patient well-being and comfortability. I started IVs to inject diagnostic levels of radionuclides targeted for imaging the coronary arteries seeking perfusion to the heart muscle and assess the heart's functional ability. I performed both treadmill stress tests encouraging patients to achieve their maximum heart rate for optimal diagnostic imaging. I administered pharmacological stress agents to those patients who were compromised from exercise. I monitored the patient's EKG before, during and after the procedure. I supervised a staff of 3 employees. I proficiently imaged and processed patient's scans for early interpretation. I adhered to the regulations set for for radiation safety. I reviewed patient medication lists and physician orders to determine the correct test for the patient. I assisted the front office staff with scheduling. I was available after hours for physicians. I reviewed and approved all accounts payable invoices for my department. I ordered all supplies and maintained quarterly inspections for all ancillary equipment. I maintained and checked the emergency crash cart daily. I presented monthly updates to the board of directors. I established and adhered to our department budget.
