Daily Duties at Marriott Management Services Corp.:
Responsibilities included ensuring all vendor invoices (four million annually), employee business expense reports (60k annually) were processed timely and accurately, all vendor file maintenance, all revenue reporting functions, all account receivable functions, all depository banking functions, and all fleet functions. This was accomplished by managing a staff of 73 employees consisting of five exempt and 68 non-exempt employees. The revenue reporting function required the processing of all “cash reports” which summarized all cash register transactions and client billings at 3,000 unit or cafeteria locations in the US and Canada including all bank deposits. I was also responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate bank account reconciliations for 650 depository bank accounts in the US and Canada. I was also responsible for the Sodexo Fleet consisting of 275 passenger vehicles and 1,400 commercial vehicles. I was responsible for managing an annual operating budget of $2.8 million. Responsible for identifying opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining accuracy, internal controls, policies and procedures, and productivity.
